Leather

At Backum Hills, we strive to display product colors as accurately as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and display differences. Since leather is a natural material, each product may feature unique textures, grains, and tonal variations, making every piece distinct.

Digital Printing on Leather

Certain products, including wallets and small leather accessories, feature digitally printed leather. As printing inks react differently with each natural hide, slight color and texture variations may occur. Over time, minor hairline cracks may also appear with regular use. These are natural characteristics of the material and contribute to the product’s unique appearance and aging process.

Fabric

Some products include digitally printed fabric, where slight variations in print alignment, texture, or color may appear across different sections. Such variations are a natural characteristic of the fabric and are not considered defects.

Hardware Finish

Products featuring metal hardware may naturally tarnish, fade, or lose shine over time due to exposure to weather, moisture, and regular handling. These changes are considered normal wear and are not manufacturing defects.

Handcrafted Variations

All Backum Hills products are handcrafted, which means slight variations in size, finish, or detailing may occur. These subtle differences are part of the artisanal process and do not affect the overall design or functionality of the product.

Scratches, Marks & Rough

Natural leather may develop scratches, marks, creases, and a patina over time. These characteristics are inherent to genuine leather and enhance the product’s vintage appeal and individuality. Since every hide is unique, no two products will look exactly alike. Such marks and surface variations are not considered defects or grounds for rejection or exchange.

Ceramic Products

Ceramic items damaged after use are not eligible for replacement or exchange.

Color Variations

Minor color differences between displayed images and actual products are natural and cannot be considered a valid reason for rejection or return of merchandise.

Natural Dyes

All Backum Hills products are dyed using natural vegetable-based dyes in accordance with international quality standards.

Exchange & Repair Assistance

Any exchange, return, or repair services provided for damaged products are applicable only within the country where the product was originally purchased.
